Information on flu vaccine availablity and flu prevention. The site also has a catch jingle on flu prevention.

New Asthma Medication Law (AB 2132)
As of Jan. 2005 students are allowed to carry and self administer their own inhaled asthma medication at school. The new law allows the student to treat their asthma symptoms immediately in order to miss less class time. Appropriate forms must be signed by both the parent and physician. Teachers and staff should alert the office if any student is carrying an inhaler. The student may then be seen by the school nurse or the office staff to be evaluated for proper medication use. The School Health Programs department supports NSBA's commitment to help school policymakers and educators make informed decisions about health issues affecting the academic achievement and healthy development of students and the effective operation of schools.

Ounce of Prevention Campaign

School Violence Tipline This 24-hour school violence tipline (800.863.7600) offers a safe place that students and parents can call anonymously to report weapons on campus, homicidal and suicidal remarks, bullying, and other acts leading to violence. We then work with school authorities and/or the police to prevent it. Tipline callers aren't asked their name, and we don't have caller I.D.

California High School Exit Examination
