The Professional Development Consultant is one of three BTSA consultants assigned to provide technical assistance to BTSA programs within Cluster II. Although each of the three consultants provides assistance to programs in design and evaluation as well as providing leadership in new teacher induction, each also has a more specialized role in the Cluster Leadership.

The Professional Development Consultant works with BTSA programs to increase their capacity to provide professional development to their support providers, beginning teachers and site administrators. The Professional Development Consultant provides "training of trainers" opportunities in all three of the BTSA-sponsored trainings: CFASST, Towards Equity, and Site Administrator Training. In addition, Network meetings for CFASST Training are offered to assist trainers in deepening their knowledge of CFASST.
