Administrative Employees
Health Plans
Health coverage is available to eligible employees and their dependents through
the CalPERS Health Plans system. The agency pays
the premium cost for two-party Kaiser. Through payroll deduction the employee
may enroll in additional coverage. View

Dental Plan
All eligible employees must participate in the Delta Dental
Service plan. The agency pays the premium cost equivalent to the two-party
Delta Dental rate.
Enrollment Information
Vision Coverage
All eligible employees must participate participate in the VSP
Eye Care Health Plan. The agency pays the
premium cost equivalent to the family rate.

In Lieu of Benefits
If an employee does not need health coverage under the COE group plans, they will receive a monthly
cash-in-lieu benefit. However, any agency paid benefits (medical, dental, or vision) will be deducted
from this amount.
Sick Leave/Personal Necessity
Sick leave is earned at the rate of one (1) day per month. Unused sick leave
will accrue from year to year. An employee may use his/her accumulated sick
leave in cases of personal necessity. Use of sick leave under this provision
may not exceed ten (10) days in any fiscal year.
Unassigned Days
Unassigned days include any holidays and time off not due to Sick Leave or Personal
Necessity. You should work with your supervisor to identify a work schedule
for the year.
Retirement Benefits
Certificated employees working 50% or more time in a fiscal year are enrolled
in the State Teachers' Retirement
System (STRS), which is an employer/employee contributory plan. Currently
STRS members must contribute 8% of their salary through payroll deduction.
Employees are enrolled in a Medicare only plan under
an employer/employee contributory arrangement.
Life; Accidental Death & Dismemberment;
Short Term, and Long Term Disability Insurance
MANAGEMENT, PROFESSIONAL ADMISINSTRATIVE, and CONFIDENTIAL employees are provided
with district-paid:

There are additional voluntary benefits available
through payroll deduction (i.e. Term life, Disability, Cancer) from
