Classified School Employees of the Year Celebrated
The Contra Costa County Office of Education (CCCOE) in collaboration with the Association of California School Administrators (ACSA) Contra Costa Charters from Region 6 co-hosted the 2nd Annual Classified School Employee of the Year (CSEY) reception on Monday, May 14, 2012. Fourteen nominees from six participating school districts throughout the county and two nominees from the CCCOE were honored at a reception to celebrate this honorable recognition. Of the fourteen nominees, three were selected as Contra Costa Classified School Employees of the Year: Virginia “Ginny” Haddad, Office and Technical Category (SRVUSD); Elizabeth Pato, Maintenance, Operations, and Facilities Category (CCCOE); and John Jacob, Support Services and Security Category (SRVUSD).
As master of ceremonies, Dr. Ovick expressed heartfelt appreciation for the hard work that classified employees perform behind the scenes and in the classroom for the students of Contra Costa County. "Whether you are a custodian or a school administrative assistant, a paraprofessional or an instructional assistant, you all have a tremendous impact on the lives of students," he said.
Presenting the awards with Dr. Ovick was ACSA’s Region 6 Executive, Bob Giannini.
