About

The purpose of ETAC is to facilitate communication of information, distribution of educational resources, and promotion of a network between districts in Contra Costa County in order to enhance learning through the use of technology.

 

Meetings

ETAC Meetings are held on from 9-11am in the Media Lab at the Contra Costa County Office of Education (get a map and directions to the building)

Upcoming and Ongoing Professional Development Opportunities

Ongoing - Professional Development Classes at CCCOE
Class Descriptions / Schedule
Most classes are scheduled after school to eliminate the need for substitutes, classes will run no matter how small the enrollment, and each class is identified by its corresponding CTAP2 Technology Proficiency category.

Onsite/Custom Workshops
Professional Development Classes being offered through CCCOE can be customized and presented at school sites.

Past Grant Activities

Teacher Double Feature - Pac Bell Grant
Grant winners have created two online lessons for the video-enhanced library of exemplary lessons in math, science and reading to promote use of video in the classroom. They received three days of training and a Sony mini-DV video camera, tripod, wireless mic, and Adobe Acrobat upon successful completion of the grant.

CCTOP - (PAC Bell and CCCOE)
Individual teachers contributed web-based units to a lesson library. Lessons will be posted in a database soon.

Bay Area Regional CTAP (BARC) Meetings

Loaner Video Resources (PDF)- Through the Teacher Double Feature grant, three video kits and are available for teachers to use in their classrooms for up to two week periods. There are also 3 digital cameras and a videoconferencing unit availabel. Download the request form and fax it to Kelly Laidley 925.938.6315

Loaner Laptops for High Schools (PDF)- Through the CTAP and CCCOE, two sets of ten laptops have been made available for high schools to use in classrooms or professional development for periods of up to two weeks. Download the request form and fax it to Kelly Laidley at 925.938.6315
